The Story Behind Our Christmas Eve Eve Tradition

Our Eve Eve tradition at Grace started years ago when we were meeting in Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington Township. In order to meet in our rented space it meant that employees from the school would need to be present and therefore miss holiday traditions with their families.

The more we looked into it, the more we realized that many families travel on Christmas Eve or split time between households over the holiday weekend. We found that moving our services to December 23rd provided a much needed pause for families in the busy holiday season. Now, instead of rushing from tradition to tradition and “fitting in” a church service we can offer an option that works for our community.
